At Truro Clean ("we") we are committed to keeping any personal information you give us safe. We use the information we collect about you to send you communications about Truro Clean Services that may be of interest to you via email.

Information you give us. You may give us information about you when you contact us on our website www.truro-clean.co.uk or by completing the Client Agreement Form or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise.

Information we collect about you. With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information (See Cookies & Google Analytics on page 4):

  • technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;

 

  • information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.

 

What information do we collect about you and when do we collect it?

When we refer to "personal information" in this Privacy Policy, we mean information, which identifies you as an individual, or is capable of doing so. Accordingly, we may hold and use data about you in your capacity as a consumer, a business customer, as an individual acting on behalf of a business customer, or in any other capacity, for example, when you visit our website.

Your information may be provided to other businesses that provide services on our behalf, for example a cleaner or window cleaner but solely for the purpose of providing you with the service you have requested and not for marketing purposes by anyone other than Truro Clean. Your information will not be shared with any other parties other than our chosen processing agents.

We may disclose your information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or to protect an individual's rights, property, or safety.

 

Data protection

Truro Clean is owned and managed by David Griffiths and only processes personal data for the core business purposes therefore does not have to register with the ICO.  However, we ensure that we adhere to the principles of the Data Protection Act 1984 and 1998 (DPA) and understand best practice for managing information.  We are committed to dealing with personal data in the spirit of the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act") and protecting personal privacy in accordance with the law.

For the purpose of the Act, the data controller is David Griffiths, 21 Trencreek Close, St. Erme, Truro, TR4 9RA. When you provide personally identifiable information to us, we may use it to provide you with ongoing information about Truro Clean. We will not rent, sell or lease this personally identifiable information to other companies or individuals. The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. Any information you share with us is securely stored in our database.

If you do not wish to receive marketing information from Truro Clean by email (other than correspondence related to a service being provided) please email enquiries@truro-clean.co.uk with your name, business name and postal address and enter 'marketing opt-out' in the subject line.
